Chrissi Nerantzi
Dr Chrissi Nerantzi is a Reader in Academic CPD at Manchester Metropolitan University. She is the Teaching Excellence Awards Lead, teaches on the MA in Higher Education, supports colleagues in curriculum design, innovations in learning and teaching including open education, scholarship and academic career progression. Chrissi has initiated a series of international open professional development initiatives with colleagues from many institutions (examples include TLC, @openfdol, @byod4l, @lthechat, @fos4l, #creativeHE), is a mentor, mentor co-ordinator and an advisory board member of the Open Education for a Better World (OE4BW) programme and teaches on the MA in Open Education Leadership offered by Nova Gorica University. Her research interests are in the areas of creativity, collaboration and open education and she has published widely. Chrissi was awarded a National Teaching Fellowship by the Higher Education Academy in 2015, was named the ALT Learning Technologist of the Year 2017, received the GO-GN Best Open Research Practice Award in 2018 and became a GO-GN Fellow in 2020. In 2021 she and her team received the OEGlobal Open Innovation Award (collaborative picture book “Together”) and in 2022 a Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence by Advance HE (#creativeHE community). From September Chrissi will be working within the School of Education at the University of Leeds.
