Paul Ricciardi

Paul Ricciardi is the Faculty Coordinator of Liberal Arts and Professor of Theatre Arts at Kingsborough Community College/City University of New York, where he teaches all levels of Acting and Voice for the Stage. Paul is also a Course Coordinator for Humanities 1 with College Now, a program at Kingsborough Community College that provides college credit-bearing courses to high school students throughout Brooklyn and Staten Island. Paul is the co-creator and co-remix/reuse editor of MODERN HUMANITIES, an OER that he created with Michelle Turnbull. MODERN HUMANITIES was first piloted with College Now’s Humanities 1 and has been downloaded across the globe. Paul and Michelle received a 2023 OE Global Award for Open Remix/Reuse for MODERN HUMANITIES. Paul Ricciardi is a voice, speech, and dialect coach, and has supported productions with professional theaters and university programs across the United States. Paul is the recipient of numerous grants and awards, including a Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation Martha Boschen Porter Artist Grant, four Berkshire Theatre Critics Awards, two PSC CUNY Research Grants, a Kingsborough President’s Faculty Innovation Award, the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) Teaching Artist Award, and a KCACTF Gold Medallion. He is Founding Co-Director and Director of Education for Ancram Center for the Arts, a theater in the Hudson Valley of New York. He is a Designated Linklater Voice Teacher and received his MFA in Acting from Trinity Repertory Company in Providence, Rhode Island. He divides his time between New York City and the Hudson Valley of New York.
