Ana Michelle Téllez Ferrer

Ana Michelle Téllez Ferrer is a Colombian educational leader, educational innovator, mentor, speaker, creative facilitator, and Founder & Director of AlmaFuerteLab, a Colombian educational innovation lab with international collaborations in Philadelphia (United States) and Santiago, Chile. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, a Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Management, certifications in Creative Facilitation, and is a Narrative 4 Certified Story Exchange Facilitator (2026). With more than 13 years of experience, her work has reached audiences in 12 countries, engaging more than 1,000 educators, creatives, and learners through conferences, educational programs, publications, media, and international collaborations.

She is the creator of the LUMI Method, AlmaFuerteLab’s psychopedagogical framework that integrates storytelling, creativity, social-emotional learning, and Design Thinking. Through AlmaFuerteLab, she leads teacher professional development, STEAM initiatives, educational media, and international partnerships. She co-hosts the podcast Dos Voces Un Alma, with more than +50 episodes, and co-created Creando en Voz Alta (2026), an educational program for Hispanic and migrant communities in Philadelphia broadcast via streaming, local television, and radio.

Ana Michelle, serves as an Advisory Board Member, Ambassador, and Academy Member at HundrED (2025–Present), contributing to the evaluation of globally scalable educational innovations. She is also a evaluator for the Innpacta Innovation Awards (2025), a mentor with Five One Labs (2025), an Honorary Parliamentarian in the Global Young Parliament Initiative (2025) during the World Bank and Open Society Foundations Spring Meetings Washington DC, and a Delegate for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at Global Peace Education Paris (2024).

Her work has been presented across Europe and the Americas, including OERcamp Germany (2025), translated into six languages, and featured through international educational initiatives at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris (2022), the University of Arizona (2022), the educational exhibition alongside COP27 in Egypt (2022), and the Transforming Education Pre-Summit (2022), where she also contributed to the global report on the future of education presented to world leaders.

AlmaFuerteLab has participated in internationally recognized incubation and accelerator programs, including IFE Explora (2024), Ella Es Semilla – She Is Foundation (2024), Social Skin + RebelSchool (2024), Savvy Fellow (2024), Y Combinator Startup School (2024), the 2GiTogether + BID Lab Accelerator (2026, Semifinalist), and the Climate of Emotions Leadership Accelerator by Six Seconds (2026).

Her work has been recognized internationally through the Open Education Award for Excellence – Educator of the Year (2025), the Transformative Education Award for Latin America and the Caribbean – ALC (2025), the Saggi Autori Stranieri Award, Italy (2026), the Women Changing the World Awards (Disability Inclusion Impact Finalist, 2025; National Impact Finalist, 2026), and recognition in Sparkle Magazine Pakistan – Leadership Women (2025). Through her work, she continues to represent Colombia and Latin America while advancing more human, creative, and inclusive approaches to education worldwide.
