Qualitative Investigation of Faculty OER Usage

Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (Washington, United States)

This study presents an extensive qualitative investigation of faculty use of open educational resources (OER) within the Washington Community and Technical College system. Building on a previous statewide survey of 770 faculty, researchers conducted in-depth interviews with 60 faculty members to gain deeper insights.

The findings not only highlight how community college faculty perceive and integrate OER into their teaching practices, but also offer a comprehensive view of the support structures needed to strengthen and expand OER implementation.
