2016 Open MOOC Award Winner

Learning to (Re)Use Open Educational Resources

The Open UniversityExplOERer project, Department of Languages (Milton Keynes, United Kingdom)

This open course introduces educators from all sectors to the use, reuse, and adaptation of Open Educational Resources (OER) for teaching. It highlights not only the practical benefits of incorporating OER into teaching practice, but also the value of sharing and networking within the global education community.

True to its mission, the course itself was built by reusing and adapting openly licensed content under Creative Commons, and has been localized into Polish and Swedish versions to broaden accessibility and relevance.

The course is part of the Erasmus+ ExplOERer Project (exploerer.gu.se), co-funded by the European Commission, which promotes OER sustainability through adoption and reuse in professional practice.
