Open Washington is a statewide open educational resources (OER) network designed to provide clear, accessible pathways for faculty to learn about, discover, and integrate OER into their teaching. Managed by the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges, the platform was recently redesigned with a strong focus on community, policy, and accessibility.
The new site introduces five major features, including:
- Accessibility with OER
- OER Policy Videos
- Open Attribution Builder
- Copyright & Open Licensing FAQ
Rebuilt from the ground up with guidance from experts in web accessibility and universal design, OpenWa offers a more inclusive and user-friendly experience, ensuring that faculty at all levels can successfully engage with and adopt OER in their classrooms.
