
Laura Henderson

Laura is an academic publishing professional with 20 years’ experience across respected international presses. Now working as part of the Frontiers Research Foundation, she strategically directs the unique science-engagement project, Frontiers for Young Minds, which she led to success in the 2024 OEG Awards, winning the award for Significant Impact.
Passionate about science engagement and publishing innovation, she has spoken at many academic conferences, both international and virtual, as an invited speaker and educator for early-career researchers. For FYM, she has driven multiple award wins, given talks at conferences in 10 countries and led many live events. She loves to create content around the FYM project and open education generally, and has been interviewed for The Times, BBC Radio 5, and The Washington Post. She has guest-blogged on the World Economic Forum Agenda and the EU Science-Media Hub, amongst many others.
Laura holds MA and MPhil degrees from Cambridge University, is an experienced trainer and training creator, and acts as a certified ALPSP Mentor for Publishing.
